When the San Antonio Livestock & Rodeo scholarship people found out that one of their recent scholarship recipents had made a wine that won the 2019 Best Texas Wine, they wanted to come visit. They recently visited our new Fredericksburg tasting room.
Daniel Bingham had received a S.A.L.E scholarship while attending Texas Tech University. Now he is making award winning wines as you will hear in this interview on KSAT San Antonio TV.

The People’s Choice Wine Tasting Classic 2018 just came to a close at Grapefest, and we had two winners!
Grapefest in Grapevine, Texas is the largest wine festival in the southwest. This year wine lovers got to sip and sample premium Texas wines and champagne while enjoying live entertainment, delicious festival food, and so much more!
Delicious Texas varietal wines were tasted at the People’s Choice Wine Tasting Classic, the largest consumer-judged wine competition in the United States. There were Texas wines from wineries across the state competing in ten categories.
In the white blends category our 2014 Cloudburst won a 2nd place!

Spring is almost here. We are working in the vineyards getting the vines ready to wake up to make more wonderful 100% Texas estate wines for our friends to enjoy. But we also have a few new plans coming your way that we will be telling you more about in the next few weeks. One new dream is our new barrel room at the winery in Meadow, Texas. Let’s start with those plans first.
Bingham Family Vineyards is so excited about new construction in Grapevine. The new TEXRail train, the plaza, and The Vin Hotel to come soon after. What fun it will be to jump on a train and visit Grapevine! And of course you will want to stop by Bingham Family Vineyards tasting room just a block or so from the new train station where you know that you will be tasting award winning 100% Texas grown wine all from the Bingham’s Vineyards. “TEXRail will be a 27-mile passenger train with stops in downtown Fort Worth, Richland Hills, Grapevine and Dallas/Fort Worth Airport. The train is now scheduled to start service the first week of 2019, said Paul Ballard, president and CEO of Trinity Metro and TEXRail. The Grapevine Main station and Hotel Vin are scheduled to open in late 2019.”
