DESCRIPTION:Growing Tempranillo in Texas\n\n\n\nThe second Thursday in November is International Tempranillo Day each year. So\, let’s celebrate learning about a grape that has taken Texas by storm. Once thought to be best red grape for production in Texas\, Tempranillo now has more years of data for us to consider.Let’s just says that Tempranillo in Texas is temperamental. Maybe not as much of a prima donna as Viognier\, but still requires careful attention. They both still make wonderful wine\, they just both require more work and attention in the vineyard.  \n\n\n\ntemp-rah-nee-oh\n\n\n\nWine Folly has some good research information if you are interested in learning more about Tempranillo grapes or the wine that is made with Tempranillo grapes. Bingham 2019 Merlot is available as an early release for our club members.Our 2019 Merlot pairs well with Irish beef stew or roasted mushrooms. She says that although Merlot does not always have the best reputation\, “If only people knew of the elegant and structured potential of this grape!”At Bingham we ripen our Merlot grape just for that potential. Starting with the best quality grapes\, we continue the process to bring you a fuller bodied Merlot with great character.  \n\n\n\nMerlot Wine in Our Wine Club\n\n\n\nOur 2019 Merlot is currently a club exclusive wine. Our wine club offers our club members one of the largest collections of Texas estate varietal wines. An estate wine means that we grew 100% of the grapes and also crafted that wine ourselves at our winery. These wines are first released to our wine club members for the first chance to purchase.
