DESCRIPTION:Texas Wine Is Coming to Dallas\n\n\n\nJoin Bingham Family Vineyards in Dallas for the Texas Hill Country Wineries Dallas Road Show\, an evening walk-around tasting at the Frontiers of Flight Museum. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTexas Hill Country Wineries is bringing together more than 22 wineries and 60+ wines for the evening. Guests can meet winery owners\, winemakers\, vineyard managers and other members of the Texas wine community while tasting wines from across the state. The official event information lists admission at $75 per person\, including 20 tasting tickets\, charcuterie and an event wine glass to take home. \n\n\n\nTaste Bingham Family Vineyards\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe’ll be pouring three wines grown in our family vineyards in the Texas High Plains AVA: \n\n\n\n\n2022 Teroldego\n\n\n\n2021 Petit Verdot\n\n\n\nHigh Plains Sunset Rosé\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBingham Family Vineyards wines are 100% estate grown\, produced and bottled in Meadow\, Texas. SUMMARY:International Merlot Day 2026: Two Expressions of Texas High Plains Merlot
DESCRIPTION:Discover Merlot’s Range\n\n\n\nInternational Merlot Day is November 7\, and this year Bingham Family Vineyards is celebrating with two expressions of Merlot from our family vineyards in the Texas High Plains. \n\n\n\nMerlot has a reputation for approachability\, but the grape can also produce structured\, concentrated wines with the ability to develop beautifully in bottle. Our 2021 Merlot and 2022 Estate Reserve Merlot show two sides of that story\, both rooted in the same Texas High Plains soils. \n\n\n\nAnd this International Merlot Day brings something new: our 2022 Estate Reserve Merlot will be released November 7. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTwo Expressions from Our Vineyards\n\n\n\nBoth wines begin in our family vineyards in the Texas High Plains AVA and are part of Bingham Family Vineyards’ estate-grown approach\, with the grapes grown and the wines produced and bottled by our team.  \n\n\n\n2021 Estate Merlot\n\n\n\nOur 2021 Merlot is full-bodied\, structured and concentrated\, with fresh and dried red and black fruit notes\, black pepper\, subtle herbal character\, and spice and savory notes from oak and age. Its firm tannin structure suggests that it can continue developing in bottle\, while still showing softness and an inviting full body now. \n\n\n\nFor the table\, consider duck\, braised meats\, roasted mushrooms\, smoked cheeses\, steak with chimichurri\, or beef or eggplant lasagna. Serve at cellar temperature and decant gently. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n2022 Estate Reserve Merlot\n\n\n\nThe new 2022 Estate Reserve Merlot takes Merlot in a richer\, more luxurious direction. It is full-bodied with pronounced intensity\, showing plush ripe plum\, smoked oak\, floral tobacco notes and savory crushed-rock character. The tasting notes describe it as elegant and fully realized\, with substantial tannins and the potential to continue developing with age. \n\n\n\nPair it with ribeye or other marbled meats\, grilled meats with mushroom cream sauce or red wine jus\, nutty or richly textured cheeses\, or duck confit.
