DESCRIPTION:At Bingham Family Vineyards\, we have one of the largest selections of estate wines to share with our friends. Which means that we grow all of the grapes and produce all of our own wine at our vineyard and winery in Meadow\, Texas in the Texas High Plains AVA. \n\n\n\nWe even offer our club members a selection of either an oaked or an unoaked Viognier. Currently these wines are reserved for club members only\, but our subscription club is so easy to join that you may want to try it. Choose what wines you receive and when you will receive them. That is the basis for our wine club. Read more about our wine club here. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPurchase our Oaked 2019 Reserve Viognier\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nor \n\n\n\n\nPurchase our unoaked 2021 Viognier\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThere are many days to celebrate wine. Wine Folly has an “official” list on their web site. The Texas Wine Lovers site has another list. \n\n\n\nOn the Texas Wine Lover site\, Jeff Cope’s list gives a couple of ideas for new days. One of those ideas is a National Viognier Day on April 6th. His reasoning sounds good. \n\n\n\n“National Viognier Day – Viognier was one of the first white wines that did well in Texas and a lot of people still think of Viognier as the white grape of Texas. One of the first wineries that showed the world how Texas can make great Viognier is Pedernales Cellars when they won a Grand Gold at the 2013 Concours International des Vins à Lyon (Lyon International Wine Competition) in France with their 2012 Viognier Reserve. From some research\, it seems that the competition was held on April 6\, 2013\, so April 6 is now National Viognier Day.” — Texas Wine Lover web site \n\n\n\nBingham Family Vineyards grew grapes for three different Texas wineries that had winning wines at that competition that year. We still grow Viognier grapes for Pedernales Cellars for their “Seriously Texas Wine” which is still winning awards today. \n\n\n\nWe can also offer you our own Viognier. We have both oaked and unoaked Viognier for our friends celebration. Which do you like best? Or try both? \n\n\n\nIf you like an oaked white wine try our 2019 Reserve Viognier. This wine pairs well with grilled pork chops with pineapple relish or baked brie. \n\n\n\n\nBuy Our 2019 Reserve Viognier\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOr enjoy our 2021 unoaked Viognier fermented in stainless steel \n\n\n\n\n2021 Viognier\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBingham Family Vineyards 2021 Viognier is a full bodied\, crisp\, clean white. Fermented at cold temperatures in stainless steel. The Viognier grapes were harvested at 24 brix in mid-September. For 2021 we decided to try something new with our Viognier. Instead of pressing 100% of the fruit immediately after harvesting\, we set a portion aside and gave it 18 hours of skin contact. The 18 hours of grape skin contact gave the wine a unique full body character when blended back together. Our winemaker\, Sam Jennings\, considers this one of his favorite wines of 2021. This High Plains Viognier is truly one of a kind. \n\n\n\nFull bodied\, bold and cream. It almost tastes sweet\, but there is no residual sugar. Tastes of honeysuckle and vanilla with hints of clove and spice. Aromas of green apple and melon. \n\n\n\nCedar plank Salmon on the grill with some shrimp skewers are Sam’s personal favorite with this wine. \n\n\n\nCelebrate Texas Viognier by buying some today. \n\n\n\nBlessings\,Betty

This is a time when our customers come to the market with family and friends looking for food and drinks\, home décor\, clothing\, accessories\, and handcrafted items for their Thanksgiving Day celebration. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWolfforth Farmers Market \n\n\n\nWolfforth Farmers Market offers a year-round indoor/outdoor shopping venue for our customers in a convenient\, semi-rural location on our family farm. They strive to have high quality\, locally-grown seasonal produce\, locally-raised meats and eggs\, and other farm-based products available for our customers to purchase\, supporting our local growers and producers. \n\n\n\nOur Wines \n\n\n\nAt the Wolfforth Farmers Market\, we show case 4 to 5 of our wines\, but if you wish to purchase any other wines you may do so by calling our winery office or making a purchase on our web site. If making a purchase on our web site leave a message or call our  winery office at (806) 585-6616 to request us to bring your wines to the market for pickup on Saturday. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOther Vendors \n\n\n\nThe Wolfforth Farmers Market also have a wonderful group of vendors that sell their baked goods\, handmade items\, and some ready-to-eat foods from local food trucks. In colder months\, we strive to offer those fresh items that our local growers and producers are still able to provide\, along with even more quality baked goods and crafts\, especially during the holidays.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nProduce And More\n\n\n\nIn addition to fresh farm products\, There are local certified cottage bakers and crafters the opportunity to sell their items at our market year-round. The Wolfforth Farmers Market are pleased to offer their high-quality items for sale to enhance the market experience for our customers\, and some of these vendors also take special orders\, including large orders\, throughout the year\, especially during the holidays. \n\n\n\nAt the present time\, the bakers usually offer a variety of baked goods for many diets\, including Gluten-free\, Vegan\, and Keto-friendly items\, along with traditional baked items to provide more options to customers that may have specific dietary needs.

Livestock and Rodeo International Wine CompetitionDouble Gold\, 2021 San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo International Wine Competition\, Top of Class winner for Texas Red Wine BlendsGold medal\, 2020 San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo International Wine Competition \n\n\n\n2020 Reserve Teroldego\, $49Bingham Family Vineyards Estate Reserve Teroldego is oaked longer to create a smoother\, more complex full-bodied wine. This is the first vintage year for Bingham to grow and vent Teroldego. Pairs well with bacon wrapped beef filet or beef bourguignon. \n\n\n\n2020 Reserve Cabernet Franc\, $49The Bingham Family Vineyards 2020 Reserve Cabernet Franc was a small batch lot that was aged in new American and French oak barrels for 24 months. Only 6 barrels of 2020 Reserve Cab Franc were produced. The wine was made in a traditional French fashion with no tannin additives or other flavor “enhancers”. The wine was simply fermented on its skins for 7 days and then gently pressed into barrels and aged for two years. This is a wine you can keep in the cellar for 5-6years and it will continue to evolve and grow more complex. \n\n\n\n2020 Reserve Petit Verdot\, $49The Bingham Family Vineyards 2020 Reserve Petit Verdot’s aromas billow out of the glass as blackberry and boysenberry with a subtle hint of anise. Lifting these fruit sensations is a smoky tar aroma that is like a bassline in a favorite song. Pairs well with reverse sear tomahawk rib eye steak or chili rellenos. \n\n\n\n2019 Dirt Farmer\, $32The French call it terroir. In Texas we call it dirt. Nurturing the soil\, the farmer encourages healthy vines\, producing fruit which becomes wonderful wine. Tempranillo\, Dolcetto\, Mourvèdre\, Graciano\, and Teroldego are blended to create this bold and adventurous dry red wine which pairs well with smoky barbeque and Texas chili. \n\n\n\n2021 Vermentino\, $27An exotic cold yeast strain known for fruit wine production was used on this Vermentino. The results were amazing\, and this will be our new winemaking protocol for Bingham Vermentino moving forward. Fermented at cold temps in stainless steel tanks. Tropical notes of pineapple\, citrus\, green apple\, and finger limes stand out on the nose. Lots of minerality\, salinity and bright refreshing acidity round this wine off.
