Last night was our first night of grape harvest for 2016. Viognier going to McPherson Cellars in Lubbock. But in the midst of our busy harvest, we are releasing more of our first vintage year of red varietal wines to our club members this month. We kept these reds in oak barrels for eighteen months to give you the best final product. But it has been worth the wait.

Smoky, black tar, blackberry with aromatic mint notes. Juicy mouth feel, very velvety, with fruity flavors of blackberry and black cherry. Good tannins with oak and smoke flavors in a jammy package that is very enjoyable and pleasing. Pure pleasure in a glass.

We provide our wine club members with one of the largest selections of grape varietal wine in Texas, so that they can truly explore the boundaries of Texas grown wines.

Our Merlot is the wine of the month for our monthly wine club members who will be receiving it as their club shipment for August. The retail price for this wine is $29.95, but our wine club members will get their bottles to try at our club shipment price of $19, $18, or $17 depending on which club they are in.

Our Dolcetto has medium body with fruity aromas of strawberry, raspberry, and smoke. The mouth feel is lush with berrylicious flavors of strawberry and cherry with just a hint of minerality in the finish. A very fun wine.

We will be releasing our 2015 Moscato Giallo and our 2015 Albariño to our wine club members in September. Coming in the next few months to our club members will be our 2014 Cab Franc, 2014 Mourvèdre, and 2014 Petit Verdot.

Now back to harvest 2016!

Blessings,

Betty
