You are sure to leave with a greater understanding of how to purchase wine YOU will love in the future. \n\n\n\nIf you can imagine your own spice rack\, going down the line from Allspice to Cardamom to Marjoram\, you’ll likely be able to find spices in wine that highlight that flavor. And interestingly\, there is a likely fundamental chemical similarity between the flavors expressed in that spice\, and what you taste in a wine! \n\n\n\nIn general\, oak\, and particularly new oak can impart many of these tastes to a wine\, and one of the reasons that oak is often called a vintner’s “spice rack.” These spices can include the aforementioned vanilla and cloves\, but also aromas of smoke\, spice\, butterscotch\, caramel\, and coconut. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOnce you have learned what your preferred level and type of spice you prefer in wine\, you can better explore our wines to find what you will like. \n\n\n\n\nChoose your Wines by flavor\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIf you can’t make it to Roanoke for the class\, sign up for our newsletter where we will give you information on the flavor aspects each month.

DESCRIPTION:Grand Opening at Roanoke\, Texas\, for Bingham Tasting Room\n\n\n\nCome Visit Our New Location\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSaturday\, January 27th\, 2024\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe are overjoyed to share some incredible news with you – the opening of the Bingham Family Vineyards Tasting Room in Roanoke\, Texas! Nestled in the heart of Roanoke on Oak Street\, this new haven promises to be a true celebration of our award-winning estate wines. \n\n\n\nThe Binghams have a long family history of farming in the High Plains AVA since 1900. Cliff had farmed with his father from an early age. After twelve years of farming his row crops as Texas Department of Agriculture certified organic\, he planted grapes in 2004 with the help of his wife and children. In 2014\, the family began crafting some of their grapes into their own wine while still selling grapes to wineries all over the state of Texas. Through the years they have opened tasting rooms in Grapevine\, Hye\, and now in Roanoke\, Texas\, to share their quality wines with their friends throughout the state. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Family Welcomes You\n\n\n\nOn Saturday\, January 27th\, some of the family will be there to welcome our friends. Daughters\, Marissa and Sierra\, will be there to play some duet music as well as talking with our friends about our vineyards and winery and their work in both. Cliff\, the Dirt Farmer\, and Betty will be there on Friday evening\, Saturday\, and Sunday to visit with our friends. \n\n\n\nThe “We Know Texas Vino” guys\, Michel and Will\, will be there broadcasting live as well. There is plenty of space for parking in the lot across the street.
