red grapes growing in vineyards at Bingham Family Vineyards, Meadow, Texas

New Year’s news for Texas wine lovers is here. We began planting wine grapes on our Texas farm over ten years ago. We have been innovative in many areas of vineyard management including planting with GPS tractors, designing planting plows and t-post driving plows, and choosing varieties that do well on the High Plains of Texas. Our bountiful crops have been shared with over thirty different wineries across the state of Texas during those years.

We plan to continue doing just that, but we also plan on moving forward. Adding to our harvest and crush press facility, we are installing full winemaking production equipment at our Meadow vineyards location south-west of Lubbock. Our new “Bingham Family Vineyards” wine label is in the design phase, so that we can share with you the fruits of our 2014 harvest and beyound. Our Texas High Plains grapes will continue to be shared with other, but they will be the source for our wine grapes as well. Later this spring these wines will begin to be available for sale on our web site, BinghamFamilyVineyards.com as well as in our new tasting room.

Our new tasting room will be opening this spring on Main Street in the wonderful fun-filled city of Grapevine, Texas. More exciting news to share is that our son Kyle Bingham, along with his lovely wife Gracie, will be hosting our friends at this new location. When we open, we invite you to come taste our wines and learn from Kyle as well as the rest of us as we have time, how wine is grown from start to finish while actually tasting the fruits of our labor.

Looking forward to visiting with all of you in the future.

Blessings,

Cliff & Betty
