What a beautiful day yesterday for the 2017 Texas Wine Revolution! Texas is coming of age in the the wine industry. This was showcased yesterday when thirty-five wineries from around the state showcased their 100% Texas grown rosé wines.

And yes, Meadow, Texas’s first winery was there, too! Our winemaker, Daniel Bingham, and winery manager, Marissa Bingham, were there with Steven Krueger to share our 2014 High Plains Sunset Rosé.

Quality 100% Texas wine was abounding everywhere.

Beautiful sunshine with a little shade for an overall cooler day.

For the VIP’s there was a panel discussion about Texas wines and the industry as a whole to listening to. With Jennifer Beckmann, Chris Brundrett, LaSaan Georgeson, and Andy Timmons, everyone received good information. Exciting times moving forward.

Music throughout the day for everyone’s enjoyment. Ravenna Sun and Uncle Lucuis played the day away.

Food trucks completed the day with a variety of fun food.

And if you smiled, like Laurie Stevens Ware, you got signed autographs on your program from the winemakers or owners! What more could you ask for? Maybe they will do another event in the fall with a different varietal wine or type of wine. Since these wines are all 100% Texas grown wines a neat idea suggested would be to group the wines by the AVA that the grapes were grown in with a section for those not grown within an AVA or from a combination of several Texas AVA’s. Then we really could taste through the terroir of Texas.

But perhaps we will can look forward to a 2018 Texas Revolution Rosé event and keep drinking 100% Texas grown wines till then.

Blessings,

Betty
