A centuries-old tradition returns to Historic Main Street.

Each spring in Grapevine, wine lovers gather for a joyful tradition that reaches back through centuries of European wine culture. The Blessing of the Vines celebrates the new vintage wines and offers a moment of gratitude for the vineyard season ahead.

Join the community on Saturday, April 11, 2026, as Grapevine begins the 34th Annual Spring Wine Trail with a festive procession and blessing ceremony in the heart of Historic Main Street.

A Historic Tradition

The Blessing of the Vines is inspired by a long-standing European custom in which vineyards are blessed for the coming growing season. In Grapevine, the tradition is celebrated with a lively procession of winery representatives through Main Street, concluding with the ceremonial blessing and a complimentary wine tasting.

Guests are welcome to attend this public ceremony before beginning the day’s Spring Wine Trail festivities.

The first 150 attendees will receive a grapevine to take home.
