July 9, 2023 @ 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm
This wine education class is focused on discovering your palate and personalized flavor profile! Wine tasting is a fascinating journey that allows us to explore our senses and preferences. In this class, we’ll cover the basics of wine tasting and help you understand your own palate better. Throughout the class, we’ll engage in interactive tastings, discussions, and exercises to enhance your understanding and appreciation of wine.
Remember, tasting wine is a subjective experience, so embrace your own unique preferences and enjoy the exploration of your unique palate!
This class will be available on most first, second, and third Sundays each month at 6:30 pm
This class will focus each month on a different aspect of our wine profile quiz to help you discover which wines to explore next. Those aspects include sweetness, intensity, fruit, oak, spice, floral, acidity, and minerality. So, take the class each month to learn more about tasting wine.
The month of July will focus on “sweetness”. Sweetness in wine is called residual sugar. Residual sugar is the unfermented grape sugars left over in the wine after fermentation has completed. There is a very wide range of sweetness in wine, which starts at absolutely nothing – 0 grams per liter – to 600 grams per liter.
But there is also a perception on the part of the taster that the wine is sweet even when the residual sugar is none. Learn more about the concept of sweetness in wine while exploring 100% Texas grown wines produced by the Bingham team.
There is no app to download, you will view the quiz in a web page which will take you directly to the wines you choose on our web site for easy purchase whether you choose to pickup at one of our locations or have them shipped to you.
If you can’t make it to Grapevine for the class, sign up for our newsletter where we will give you information on the flavor aspects each month.
