Oak Flavor for August
This tasting on August 4th will discuss the aspect of oak in wine. You are sure to leave with a greater understanding of how to purchase wine YOU will love in the future.
Unlike beer, wine does not allow flavor additives (i.e. coriander, orange peel, etc). Thus, oak has become the accepted way to affect the taste of wine. When added to wine, oak flavors combine with wine flavors to create a wide variety of new potential flavors. Join us to learn how to identify each one.
Once you have learned what your preferred level of oak flavors in wine, you can better explore our wines to find what you will like.
If you can’t make it to Grapevine for the class, sign up for our newsletter where we will give you information on the flavor aspects each month.
