Celebrate Cabernet Sauvignon, Texas Style

Thursday, September 3, is International Cabernet Sauvignon Day, a day to raise a glass to one of the world’s most recognized red wine grapes. The Wine & Spirit Education Trust lists the celebration on the first Thursday of September, making September 3 the date for 2026.

At Bingham Family Vineyards, we’re celebrating with two expressions of Cabernet Sauvignon, both beginning in our family vineyards in the Texas High Plains.

Two Expressions. One Texas Vineyard.

Our 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon and 2021 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon offer two ways to explore this classic grape through wines grown and crafted in Texas.

The 2021 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon earned a Gold Medal at the 2026 San Antonio Livestock & Rodeo International Wine Competition, making Cabernet Sauvignon Day a particularly fitting occasion to discover one of our award-winning Estate Reserve wines.

Discover Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon is grown in wine regions around the world. For those who would like to learn a little more about the grape, Wine Folly offers an approachable guide to Cabernet Sauvignon, including its history, structure and food-pairing characteristics.

You can also explore the WSET 2026 grape and wine days calendar, which lists International Cabernet Sauvignon Day on September 3 and other wine celebrations throughout the year.

Celebrate With Us

Visit Bingham Family Vineyards in Hye, Grapevine, or Meadow and discover our 100% Texas estate wines for yourself. With late-summer temperatures still making wine shipping less predictable, a tasting-room visit is also a wonderful way to pick up your Cabernet Sauvignon and celebrate the day.

Whether you choose our Cabernet Sauvignon or reach for the Gold Medal-winning Reserve, September 3 is a fine excuse to explore what Cabernet Sauvignon can become when grown in the Texas High Plains.

Blessings,
Betty
