Best Texas Wine – 2020 Houston Rodeo Uncorked! Wine Competition, 2017 Dugout
We were excited to let you know the good news when we heard last November that we were humbled to learn that we had won Best Texas Wine in the 2020 Houston Rodeo Uncorked! International Wine Competition. You can read the post here where we listed all of our winners including two double gold medals, four gold medals, ten silver medals, and two bronze medals. Of those there were three Class Champions, one Reserve Class Champion, four Texas Class Champions, and four Texas Reserve Class Champions.
We are so proud of the hard work that our vineyard workers and winery staff had done with these wines. With Bingham Family Vineyards wines you always know that 100% of the grapes were grown and the wine produced by us for your enjoyment.
Last week we were awarded a saddle to commemorate our 2017 Dugout winning the Top Texas Wine! In Texas they do things in a big way which you can see with this beautiful saddle.
This all happened at a special awards ceremony that occurred before the Best Bites Competition which took place on Sunday, February 23rd. It was surreal to be at an event honoring Dr. Robert Becker from Becker Family Vineyards .
And then to have them interview our winemakers Marissa Bingham (our daughter) and Daniel Bingham (our son). Words can not express the amazement we were feeling which might explain why my flustered hands did not get my camera settings quite right. You will have to forgive some of the shaky photos.
Then it was off to the Best Bites Competition down stairs. This is an event that you should consider going to each year. Great award winning wine and an amazing array of food from area restaurants.
