Bingham Family Vineyards had grapes in another awarding winning wine. Red Caboose Winery and Vineyards made a 70% Tempranillo and 30% Syrah blend which won a Silver in the 2009 Dallas Morning News Wine Competition last February. The Tempranillo came from our vineyard and the Syrah came from Gary McKibben’s vineyard at Red Caboose.
Yea, Gary and Evan, you did a good job!

Gewurztraminer – let’s all say that together – gə-ˈvu̇rt-ˌsträ-ˈmē-nər or guh-VURTZ-trah-mean-er or however you like to say it. However you pronounce it, Gewurztraminer is one of our favorite. The sweetness and spiciness of the salsa blended beautifully with the subtleness of the Trebbiano. We basted this over pork chops while grilling and then topped the pork chops generously with the salsa at serving time. It is also a great salsa for chips!
