Bingham Family Vineyards 2018 Viognier bottle
Bingham Family Vineyards November Monthly Wine

Our Viognier is aromatic with blossom, peach, and pear notes. The mouth feel is viscous and lush with flavors of applesauce, peach, apricot, and lemon oil with minerals in the background for a long lingering finish.

Viognier pairs well with creamy sauces such as turkey and gravy at the Thanksgiving meal. Also with chicken salad and fruit or spicy south-east Asian curries.

We planted our first vines of Viognier in 2004. We now cultivate over thirty acres. This grape variety is one of our earliest budding in the spring, so it is often the one that suffers the most with a late spring freeze. But when the wine is finished it is well worth all the hard labor involved from the vineyards, to the winery, and to our tastings rooms for your enjoyment.

At our member tastings in November, we will be tasting our 2018 Viognier as well as showcasing our 2016 Petit Verdot which won a silver medal and was Texas Class Champion at the 2019 Houston Livestock & Rodeo International Wine Competition. It also won a gold medal at the 2019 San Antonio Livestock & Rodeo Wine Competition. This 2016 Petit Verdot is in limited supply, so you will want to purchase your bottles now for gatherings with friends and for gifts.

All of our wines are estate wines; grown, produced, and bottled by the family for you to enjoy. Drink with confidence, knowing that you are exploring true 100% Texas grown wine.
