Oak for July

This tasting on July 21st will discuss the aspect of oak and how it affects wine. You are sure to leave with a greater understanding of how to purchase wine YOU will love in the future.

Unlike beer, wine does not allow flavor additives (i.e. coriander, orange peel, etc). Thus, oak has become the accepted way to affect the taste of wine. When added to wine, oak flavors combine with wine flavors to create a wide variety of new potential flavors. Join us to learn how to identify each one.

If you can’t make it to Roanoke for the class, sign up for our newsletter where we will give you information on the flavor aspects each month.
