JOB TITLE: Lead Tasting Room Associate

Overview:

The Lead Tasting Room Associate at Bingham Family Vineyards will be focused on delivering superlative experiences and achieving sales and financial goals. This job could be a full time or a part time position. This position includes weekends and most holidays.

Job Responsibilities:

Under the leadership of the manager, the Lead Tasting Room Associate will:

  • Being an enthusiastic  ambassador with our guests and an example to our sales associates in promoting our brand and offering our guests an extraordinary experience of customer service in a warm and educational atmosphere through bar and seated tastings while building meaningful, genuine relationships with our guests.
  • Available to fill open shifts when asked by the manager.
  • Assist manager in hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising staff. Continuing to provide motivation, leadership, and personnel support through guidance and staff development to meet or exceed monthly sales goals of wine sales as well as employee satisfaction. This should include one-on-one coaching as well as ongoing wine education. 
  • Monitor performance of tasting room goals including monthly goals for wine sales, new club memberships, and taster traffic.
  • Respond to customer service issues in a professional, warm, and timely manner.
  • Assist manager in keeping wine, merchandise, printed materials, and other  inventory stocked and orderly.
  • Coordinating wine club member communications and pickups with our Roanoke area pickup club members in cooperation with our wine club manager
  • Managing daily visitor appointments, supplies, printed materials, and other functional tasks.
  • Be a key holder of the tasting room and able to complete daily opening and closing tasting room duties.
  • Occasionally assist with off-site events and tastings as needed
  • Maintain professional, clean work environment and perform daily tasting room protocol and procedures including but not limited to cleaning bathrooms, taking out trash, cleaning glassware, etc.
  • Must be over 21 years of age, able to lift 50 lbs. regularly, and able to stand for extended periods of time. 
  • Must be able to consistently work a weekend, festival, and holiday schedule. 
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Texas driver’s license, current TABC seller-server certification, and a Texas manager food handlers’ certification.
  • REPORTS TO: Tasting room manager
  • SALARY: $16 – $20 an hour with added tips depending on the candidate. Administrative hours do not receive tips.
