After all the talk about how we were working towards our vines NOT budding out too early, we are so excited that now the time is here. Yes, last year we did still have long and hard freezing temperatures on May 5th, but this year the forecast looks like spring is here to stay. And the vines look so fruitful and beautiful that they are a joy to walk in.
New life, new growth, hope for the future.
At this point the crop looks like it has great potential.
After two years of late freezing weather in the spring, there is much work to be done to train and at times retrain the cordons for fruitful production.
So this is just a quick update with photos to let you know the exciting start that we have this year for the vines.
Now that we have shared some refreshing photographs of this year’s crop of grapes, I’ll be showing you in the next few days what work has been going on in the winery to get wines from last year ready to share with you now.
